In the 80s, Ilias Metaxas created a unique drink, from excellent spirits left to him by his father, which he had, in turn, inherited from the first generation of the Metaxas family. Wanting to honor his family's legacy, Ilias named his creation Three Generations, "Treis Genies". Elias' original intention was to protect this heirloom in the cellars, keeping it for future generations, and to donate only a few handcrafted bottles to his family and closest friends. Forty years later, in 2020, Elias Metaxas decided that it was time for this extraordinary drink to be revealed and find its rightful place at the top of the most precious, limited editions of the House of Metaxas. In a creative meeting with Oikos Metaxas and the current Metaxa Master Constantinos Raptis, Ilias Metaxas signs today 1,000 precious bottles of METAXA AEN Three Generations. METAXA AEN Three Generations, by Elias Metaxa symbolizes the eternal, eternal spirit of the House of Metaxa that is transmitted from one generation to the next.
Nose: Multi-layered and expressive. Honeysuckle, dried flowers, black currant, bergamot, dried fig, licorice, nutmeg and truffle.
Taste: Silky and very full. Plum and dried fig, blackberry syrup, pink pepper, and ginger.
Aftertaste: Particularly long, with hints of spicy chocolate and cinnamon.
Color: Clear, deep mahogany with brown reflections.
